Wear your PFD and Leash

Set the example–Always wear your PFD and Leash when Stand Up Paddle Boarding, and wear them safely.

Bob Pratt of the “Great Lakes Surf Rescue Project” gives these tips on PFD and Leash usage:

SURF = LEASH
RIVER = PFD [quick release leash]
OPEN WATER = BOTH
COLD WATER = LEASH & “REAL” PFD
Non-swimmers should NEVER wear inflatables.
